I finally caved and bought me a new Mac Mini. There's only so much of this G4 a man can take. A man needs polyphony in his Superior Drummer you know. However, the Mini is in pieces owing to an unwelcomed surprise; NO 2nd ATA CABLE FOR YOU! So I had to buy this damn 2nd drive kit just to install the 120GB SSD I got for it. That sucks. Oh well. But I did boot the little sucker up once at work just to get it set up. Looks fairly straightforward, no huge surprises in System Prefs that I could see. Very very stoked to see ROTATE in the Display Prefs. Sweet. If ever they release a new Mac Pro I'll be able to fully rock my 3 monitor setup. (2560x1600 center, two 1600x1200 in portrait mode on the sides is my plan) But it is super sweet that the Mini supports 2560x1600 from the new jack Thunderbolt port. Can't wait to fire that sucker up! The 30" Dell is currently doing video game and movie duty, which is ok, but not great. It's a within-touching-distance monitor, not a couch TV. I will be in head tilting scanner heaven soon. Mmmm.
